New York Edge is seeking a part-time Academic Enrichment Coach to support after-school programs in Wyandanch. You will provide a safe, engaging environment and help students with learning, arts, STEM, and physical activities.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and reliable communication. Candidates should be at least 18 with a high school diploma; some college experience is preferred. In-person work is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants at all times.
• Be a positive role model and support learning, interaction, and growth in arts, STEM, literacy, and physical activity.
• Engage participants in structured, age-appropriate activities and field trips.
• Prepare learning environments and maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp space.
• Assist with planning and implementing activities, initiatives, and special events.
• Support Activity Specialists with activity delivery as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about progress and growth.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
