Job summary

New York Edge in the Bronx is seeking a part-time After School Academic Enrichment Coach to support the after-school program with a safe, engaging environment. You will assist with homework, lead activities in arts, STEM, and literacy, and help with field trips and events, collaborating with Activity Specialists.

The role is in-person, requires a High School Diploma (some college preferred), and a genuine desire to work with children. Schedule: Mon–Fri 2:30 pm–5:30 pm, $17.50/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma; some college preferred.
• Experience with children is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates reliability and ability to engage in supervision and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to ensure health, safety, and well‑being of participants.
• Engage children in structured activities across arts, STEM, and literacy.
• Support planning and implementation of activities and field trips.
• Maintain a clean, organized camp space and supplies.
• Build positive relationships with parents and guardians through communication.
