Job summary

CooperRiis, Inc. in Asheville, NC is seeking a part-time Admissions Assessment Therapist to conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for residents and families. Schedule is 24-28 hours weekly, with shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9:00 am–3:30 pm, and part-time remote options.

Qualifications

• Current NC license as LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT; associate licenses considered with experience
• Psy.D or Ph.D. in clinical psychology or counseling
• At least 3 years of experience in psychotherapy, clinical assessments, or related services
• Preferred experience with insurance and medical billing

Responsibilities

• Maintains a thorough understanding of the campuses and programs
• Provides excellent customer service with prospective residents and families; collaborates with referral sources
• Performs clinical records review and completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
• Assists Admissions Coordinators with pre-screen questions based on records review
• Communicates admissions decisions to residents and families and coordinates with staff for arrival
• Delivers clinical assessments and recommendations for admissions
• Presents clinical summaries to program leadership for final determinations
• Understands insurance-based medical necessity criteria and documents for insurance authorization
• Assists with admissions department phone coverage when no assessment is scheduled
