Job summary

CooperRiis is seeking an Admission Assessment Therapist for a part-time role in Asheville, NC with remote options. The therapist conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, screens residents and families, and collaborates with admissions staff to ensure smooth onboarding.

Requirements include an active NC license (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT) or eligible, plus 3+ years of psychotherapy or assessment experience. Salary starts at $29/hour with increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• Psy.D or Ph.D. in clinical psychology or counseling.
• Current NC license as LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT or associate with experience.
• At least 3 years of psychotherapy or clinical assessments experience.
• Experience with insurance and medical billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for CooperRiis programs.
• Reviews clinical records and gathers information from collateral contacts.
• Communicates admissions decisions to residents and families.
• Assists with pre-screen questions and referrals.
• Presents clinical summaries to leadership and supports final determinations.
• Documents insurance-related medical necessity clearly for requests.
