Job summary

CooperRiis in Asheville, NC is seeking an Admission Assessment Therapist for a part-time role (24–28 hours/week, Mon/Tue/Thu, 9:00 am–3:30 pm) to complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for residents and families.

The ideal candidate holds an NC license (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT) or eligible associate licenses with experience; PsyD/PhD in psychology or counseling; at least 3 years of psychotherapy/assessment experience; knowledge of insurance criteria is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NC license as LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT; associate licenses considered with experience.
• Psy.D or Ph.D. in clinical psychology or counseling.
• At least 3 years of psychotherapy/clinical assessments experience.
• Preferred experience with insurance and medical billing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains understanding of CooperRiis campuses and programs.
• Provides clinical assessments and comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations.
• Collaborates with Admissions and referral sources; communicates admissions decisions.
• Completes insurance-appropriate documentation for authorization requests.
• Supports admissions with pre-screen questions and staff communications.
• Presents clinical summaries to leadership and helps determine admissions.
