Teaching experience is required; preferred candidates hold a PhD in Government or Political Science, or a Master’s with substantial coursework and teaching background.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience required.
• Preferred: PhD in Government OR Political Science OR Politics OR Public Administration OR Public Policy.
• Minimum: Master’s in the above areas.
• Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master’s in any field possessing 18 graduate credits in Government and substantial teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
