Job summary

Grand Canyon University, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, seeks an adjunct instructor to teach part-time, in-person courses at our Phoenix campus. You will facilitate lectures in Research Methods in Government and Politics and guide students through qualitative and quantitative approaches.

The role requires teaching experience; a Master’s is required, PhD preferred. Applicants with 18 graduate credits in Government and substantial teaching experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience required.
• Master’s degree in Government/Politics or related field is required.
• Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master’s in any field possessing 18 graduate credits in Government and substantial teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions.
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics.
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
