Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty on a part-time, per-semester basis to deliver courses and support student success. You will create engaging learning environments, develop syllabi, and assess student performance while adhering to college policies and FERPA guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, using technology to enhance teaching, and providing meaningful student interactions that contribute to their academic goals.

Qualifications

• Earned associate or higher degree in Homeland Security/Public Safety or Environmental Science.
• Possesses current license through Indiana Department of Environmental Management or comparable agency.
• Has two years of directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades and other requirements.
• Interacts with students and co-workers professionally and in compliance with policies.
• Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms and labs.
