Job Summary: The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical care in the Emergency Department at the University of Colorado Hospital, as delegated by a person licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
Principal activities include patient care in our Super Track environment (continuation of care of ESI 3-4 patients) working in a Clinical Decision Unit in the Emergency Department, as well as working collaboratively with Faculty Attendings on more complicated patients in the main zones of the ED. Delegated medical care includes, but is not limited to, the assessment, treatment and care of patients of all age categories. It is expected the employee will be competent to interpret age specific developmental, physiological and unique care needs by assessment and by observation of care delivery.

The campus is a state-of-the-art medical campus home to the University of Colorado Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, the Colorado School of Public Health; as well as the University of Colorado Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado both of which serve as major training sites for the Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine.
