The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO invites applications for a Nocturnist - NP/PA Instructor in Emergency Medicine. This full-time role provides care in the ED, with a predominant night schedule and night differential, collaborating with Faculty Attendings on complex cases.
The successful candidate will hold an active CO license as PA or NP, possess a Master’s degree, and meet post-graduate emergency medicine qualifications.
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Nocturnist) will provide clinical care in the Emergency Department at the University of Colorado Hospital, as delegated by a person licensed to practice medicine in Colorado. Principal activities include patient care in our Super Track environment (continuation of care of ESI 3-4 patients) working in a Clinical Decision Unit in the Emergency Department, as well as working collaboratively with Faculty Attendings on more complicated patients in the main zones of the ED. Delegated medical care includes, but is not limited to, the assessment, treatment and care of patients of all age categories. It is expected the employee will be competent to interpret age specific developmental, physiologic and unique care needs by assessment and by observation of care delivery.
Nocturnists will receive a night shift differential. This is a predominant night schedule with minimal-to-no rotation into daytime shifts.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$112,382-$146,806
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
