Job summary

Genacross Lutheran Services in Napoleon, OH, is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, implement and evaluate activities that support residents' social, recreational, emotional, and spiritual needs.

You will encourage participation in group programs, help with schedules and documentation, assist with outings, and build warm relationships with residents and families while maintaining confidentiality and safety. Part-time daytime shifts with PRN opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ohio STNA certification and 1-2 years of long-term care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn required software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and respond promptly.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support residents' social, recreational, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Encourage resident participation in group programs, hobbies, crafts, religious activities, and community outings
• Build positive relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging environment
• Assist with activity schedules, attendance records, program evaluations, supplies, and other required documentation
• Provide individual visits and activities for residents who are unable to attend group programs
• Help transport residents to outings and coordinate activities with families and other departments
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' conditions, safety concerns, hazards, or suspected abuse or neglect
• Protect resident confidentiality and follow all safety, emergency, and organizational procedures
