Job summary

Genacross Lutheran Services is seeking a part-time STNA for night shifts in Napoleon, OH. This role involves 12-hour shifts on Mondays, delivering essential resident care including toileting, showers, feeding, and daily living activities.

Qualified candidates have an active Ohio STNA certification, are at least 18, and have good communication and documentation skills. Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

based on shift and weekend differentials & attendance incentives

What You'll Do: As a STNA: State Test Nurse Aide you will provide care for the residents - including toileting, showers, feeding, activities of daily living, lifts and transfers, and other primary care needs.

• Provide quality personal care to ensure that residents are comfortable and are provided with the highest quality of care. Adheres to all guidelines learned through the STNA training program and state guidelines as well as complies with the Home's policies and procedures.
• Complete administrative requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained. Completes paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation as a part of the resident care process and the transition of care process.
• Assists the residents during the admissions, transfer and discharge process to provide ongoing quality care and assurance during transition periods.
• Follow care plan functions to meet the specific needs of each resident. Focus on resident's individualized needs and encourage resident's ability to make personal choices.
• Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.
• Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to injuries, equipment, etc., to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.

STNA Qualifications:

• Current State of Ohio STNA certification
• Must be at least 18 years old
• One to two years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic computer skills. Ability to learn new software applications as required by the position.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.
