Job summary

Pine Haven Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Eight Mile, AL is seeking an Activity Aide to join our compassionate team. You will plan and support recreational and therapeutic activities, monitor participation, and help with mealtime activities while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

This part-time role demands a patient-friendly communicator with a high school diploma, the ability to lift 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and reliable transportation to ensure dependable coverage

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for patients, including games, arts and crafts, and social events.
Monitor and document patient participation and progress in activities.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding, serving, and cleaning up after meals.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Collaborate with rehabilitation teams to develop individualized activity plans that meet patient needs and goals.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director or designee.
