Northway Health & Rehab is seeking an energetic Activity Aide to join our team in Bessemer, AL. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the chance to positively impact residents' lives daily.

You will help plan, organize, and lead recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities to enhance quality of life for our residents. A welcoming and dependable personality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior living, customer service, or related fields is a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing and compassionate personality is important.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work well with elderly and rehabilitation populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing daily activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.
• Lead games, crafts, music programs, holiday events, and social gatherings.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Help decorate for holidays, special events, and resident celebrations.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Support resident-centered programming that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Northway Health & Rehab is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and dependable Activity Aide to join our team. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.
