Job summary

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activity Aide to support residents through engaging programs and activities.

You will help plan and implement recreational and therapeutic activities, fostering a joyful, safe, and supportive environment and collaborating with the care team to meet individual resident needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in geriatric care or activities programming preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and implementation of activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and entertainment programs
• Encourage resident participation and socialization through a variety of activities and events
• Monitor and assess resident participation and provide feedback to improve the activity program
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate records and reports of resident participation and activity programs
• Participate in resident assessments and goal setting to identify activity preferences and needs
