We are currently seeking a full-time Activity Aide to assist in developing and facilitating engaging programs that meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our residents. This position requires availability five days a week, with rotating weekends.
Assist with planning and leading group and one-on-one activities
Implement activity programs aligned with resident care plans
Encourage resident participation and self-expression
Foster social interaction and promote residents' self-esteem
Provide adaptive materials for residents with special needs or sensory impairments
Maintain daily resident interaction and offer meaningful engagement
Prepare activity spaces, materials, and maintain equipment
Keep accurate records and documentation using proper grammar and spelling
Participate in care planning meetings and contribute ideas for new programming
Support residents with varying abilities, including those who are bedridden, depressed, or terminally ill
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity area
Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect for all residents and staff
Other duties as assigned by the Activity Director
Genuine interest in working with the elderly and individuals with special needs
Ability to work cooperatively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Prompt, dependable attendance
No prior convictions of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, or property misappropriation
Reports directly to the Activity Director
