Job summary

RegalCare at Harwich is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance the lives of patients and residents through engaging programs and social events in a warm, home-like setting.

You will plan, lead, and supervise activities, coordinate a monthly calendar with the Activities Director, assist with daily living tasks when needed, and build partnerships with community groups to expand offerings. Reliable communication and empathy are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with varying abilities.
• Availability to work a PART_TIME schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of activities, outings, and events for patients and residents.
• Develop and lead recreational activities to promote socialization, physical and mental stimulation, and relaxation.
• Collaborate to create a monthly activity calendar that meets residents' needs and interests.
• Supervise setup and cleanup of activity areas and arrange furniture, decorations, and supplies.
• Monitor participation and collect feedback to improve activities and services.
• Provide support with daily living activities, such as escorting residents to activities, meals, and appointments.
