RegalCare at Harwich is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance the lives of patients and residents through engaging programs and social events in a warm, home-like setting.
You will plan, lead, and supervise activities, coordinate a monthly calendar with the Activities Director, assist with daily living tasks when needed, and build partnerships with community groups to expand offerings. Reliable communication and empathy are essential.
As an Activities Assistant at RegalCare at Harwich, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients and residents by creating a dynamic and engaging environment that fosters socialization, recreation, and wellness. Assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of activities, outings, and events for patients and residents, including recreational programs, social events, and community outings
Develop and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercise programs, to promote socialization, physical and mental stimulation, and relaxation
Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly activity calendar that meets the diverse needs and interests of our patients and residents
Supervise and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity areas, including arranging furniture, decorations, and supplies
Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and sponsors to cultivate partnerships and resources for activities and events
Monitor and record participation rates, feedback, and concerns to improve activities and services
Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, recording, and reporting activity data
Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including attendance, participation, and evaluations
Participate in community outings and activities as needed
Provide support with daily living activities, such as escorting patients and residents to activities, meals, and appointments
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures
