Job summary

Inn at Village Square in Gorham, ME, seeks a compassionate Activities Aide to support resident engagement and well-being in our assisted living community.

You’ll plan and facilitate recreational and enrichment activities tailored to each resident’s interests and abilities, working closely with residents, families, volunteers, and staff to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can participate and maintain independence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Fluently communicate in English; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
• Certifications in Activity Coordination or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate recreational, social, and enrichment activities tailored to residents’ individual interests, abilities, and goals.
• Work closely with residents, families, volunteers, and colleagues to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can participate and maintain independence.
• Collaborate with care teams to support resident engagement and well-being during activities.
• Support residents in maintaining independence and quality of life through engaging community programs.
