Job summary

MediLodge of Mt Pleasant is seeking a part-time Activities Aide to organize and participate in resident activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. You will document participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.

The role supports a resident-centered approach, leveraging diverse activity modalities such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy to engage residents and enhance well-being.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new modalities and approaches.

Responsibilities

• Assists the resident activity director as needed.
• Utilizes environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Fosters a sense of community within the center.
• Leads and participates in individual and group activities.
• Uses varied activity models (pet/music/art therapy) to tailor programming.
• Assists with decorating for events and preparing monthly calendars.
• Documents participation and activity value in medical records.
• Supports volunteers and community engagement.
• Maintains activity equipment and cleans up after activities.
• Provides or arranges comfort/support to residents and families.
