Job summary

San Jacinto Valley Post Acute is hiring an Activities Assistant for a part-time role in San Jacinto Valley. You will carry out individual and group activities matching residents’ interests and cognitive and physical abilities, including bed-bound residents, and assist with setup and prompts.

You’ll support the Activity Director in creating calendars, monitor safety, report maintenance needs, and keep the activity space clean and homelike.

Qualifications

• CNA license required.
• CPR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individual and group activities that meet residents' functional levels, needs and interests.
• Identify ways to support residents' needs and preferences.
• Communicate information to supervisor and staff as appropriate.
• Provide activities to bed-bound residents and assist as needed.
• Adapt activities to cognitive/physical levels using prompts and setup assistance.
• Assist Activity Director in developing activity calendars and posting them.
• Monitor environment for safety and report hazards.
• Maintain organization of activity equipment and supplies.
