Job summary

Freedom Square of Seminole is seeking an Activities Assistant / Caregiver to join the on-site team at our Assisted Living Facility in Seminole, FL. You will plan and implement on-property activities, assist residents with daily living tasks, and coordinate events and transportation when needed.

Ideal candidates bring experience with seniors in recreation or social settings, strong communication, and a compassionate, hospitality-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors in recreation, music, fitness and/or social administration.
• Great communication and people skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication is a must.
• Geriatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement on-property activities and events
• Attend off-property trips, special events and parties
• Preparation and distribution of monthly activities calendar and other communication materials
• Manage digital broadcast of events through in-house channel
• Coordinate transportation for off-campus events
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising
• Answers signal lights promptly
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed
• Gives treatments, perform tests carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rom clean and orderly

The Community Life Services department is looking for an Activities Assistant / Caregiver to join the team in our Assisted Living Facility!
