Vermont Smoke & Cure is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure vendor obligations are accurately recorded, paid on time, and aligned with financial controls. This on-site, part-time role focuses on AP and related areas like accruals and prepaids, supporting month-end and year-end close.

The position emphasizes building strong vendor relationships, maintaining clean books, and collaborating with the accounting team in a growing company based at our Hinesburg, VT facility.

Competenze

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of accounting with AP/AR focus.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Mansioni

• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Verify invoice accuracy and obtain approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records and W-9s.
• Process weekly payment runs and manage payment schedules.
• Assist with AP-related month-end close and accruals/prepaids.
• Support year-end closing and audit preparations.
