First Gold Gaming Resort in Deadwood, SD is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This role handles invoices, vendor records, and general accounting support. The position is 20 hours or less per week with a flexible weekday schedule and no weekends.

Pay is DOE. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, Excel proficiency, and experience in accounts payable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field is a plus; relevant experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounts payable software preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding and entering invoices.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and account information.
• Research and resolve invoice, billing, and payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and balances.
• Assist with month-end closing, including reconciliations and ledger support.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Provide documentation during daily audits as needed.
• Follow accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
