Job summary

First Gold Gaming Resort is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join the accounting team in Deadwood, SD. This role handles accounts payable processing, vendor records, and general accounting support with a flexible 20-hour or less schedule.

Pay is DOE and the position requires 21+ with SD Gaming License or ability to obtain it upon hire. No weekends, on-site work, and collaboration with multiple departments are key features of this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or related experience preferred.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting or accounts payable software preferred.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid South Dakota Gaming License or be able to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and account information.
• Research and resolve invoice, billing, and payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, account balances, and other account-related questions.
• Work with other departments to obtain invoice approvals and resolve billing issues.
• Assist with month-end closing, including accounts payable reconciliations and general ledger support.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Provide documentation and assistance during daily audits as needed.
• Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
