Job summary

First Gold Gaming Resort in Deadwood, South Dakota, seeks a detailed Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The role handles invoice processing, vendor records, and supports payment processing and general accounting functions.

The position is 20 hours or less per week with a flexible weekday schedule and no weekend work; compensation is DOE and will depend on experience. The ideal candidate has attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk role preferred.
• Associates degree in accounting/finance a plus; equivalent experience considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality; 21+ and SD Gaming License or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding and invoicing.
• Maintain vendor records and account information.
• Research and resolve invoice, billing, and payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and balances.
• Coordinate with other departments for approvals and issue resolution.
• Assist with month-end closing and GL support.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Assist during daily audits as needed.
• Follow accounting policies and internal controls.

Part-Time Accounting Clerk

First Gold Gaming Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate vendor accounts, assisting with payment processing, and supporting general accounting functions.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours or less per week with a flexible schedule. No weekends required. Pay is DOE (Depending on Experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and account information.
• Research and resolve invoice, billing, and payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, account balances, and other account-related questions.
• Work with other departments to obtain invoice approvals and resolve billing issues.
• Assist with month-end closing, including accounts payable reconciliations and general ledger support.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Provide documentation and assistance during daily audits as needed.
• Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or related experience preferred.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting or accounts payable software preferred.
