Qualifications

• Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation; public accounting preferred.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Understanding of account reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial statements.
• Experience preparing individual tax returns; business tax return experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfortable learning accounting and tax software.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client books and prepare tax returns under CPA supervision.
• Communicate with clients to keep assignments moving.
• Organize workpapers and assist with closings and financial statements.
• Research discrepancies and prepare adjusting entries.
• Assist with client onboarding and establishing accounting records.
• Follow confidentiality and secure handling of client information.
