Job summary

Restivo Heating & Air Conditioning seeks a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting tasks, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping at our Johnston, RI location.

The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, payable/ receivable activities, proficiency with Excel, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the team to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records, including familiarity with Service Titan

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable or accounts receivable preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Excel proficiency and general computer skills.
• Service Titan experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Enter invoices, expenses, and financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Help process vendor payments and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, files, and documentation.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and accounting summaries.
• Assist with tracking expenses and resolving discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and follow established accounting procedures.
