Job summary

Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co. is seeking an Entry-Level Accounting Administrator to support the Finance Department with daily AR and AP tasks. The role is ideal for someone starting an accounting career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn basic processes.

Training will be provided, and there are growth opportunities within the accounting team. You will prepare and post invoices and payments, monitor aging and respond to billing inquiries, enter vendor invoices, match to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of accounting or administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send customer invoices.
• Post customer payments in accounting system.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances.
• Respond to basic customer billing inquiries.
• Maintain organized customer files and documentation.
• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Assist with processing check runs and electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor records and filing systems.
• Support month-end AR tasks.
• Support month-end/ year-end close.
• Provide data entry and basic account reconciliations.
