Job summary

Allied Universal in Rye, NY, is seeking a part-time Security Officer to provide exceptional customer service, enforce access control, and respond to incidents at a residential location. The role includes monitoring credentials, logs, and directing authorized personnel.

Patrols and daily reporting are essential responsibilities for maintaining safety and security. The position requires basic computer or tablet use, a high school diploma or equivalent, and favorable background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access to the residential location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals appropriately.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
