Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time) in Houston, TX to safeguard clients across industries. You will manage access control points, verify credentials, monitor entry/exit, and deliver professional customer service to visitors and staff at government and allied facilities.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and airport stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Screen and direct visitors and vendors in accordance with established government and airport facility procedures, escalating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting observations promptly.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport facility areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
