Allied Universal in Houston, TX is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced - Part Time Access Control Specialist. The role offers flexible hours at an assigned site with the option to pick-up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate access-control records. Minimum requirements include HS diploma, background screen, and drug testing where permitted.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, gates, and access points; working environments may vary across sites.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and potential policy violations to help protect personnel and property.
