Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for credential verification in Leesburg, VA. You will manage access control for a technology data center, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The position offers a part-time schedule with evening/night shifts and an hourly pay rate of $26.06, with opportunities to use our Shift platform for additional hours and shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A college degree is required.
• A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a technology data center by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor entry requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation for visitor, contractor, delivery, and incident activity.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
