Allied Universal, Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced. This role offers fixed anchor shifts plus opportunities to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings, with a base pay of $18.50 per hour.

It is an as-needed position, not weekly, with a yearly schedule provided at hire. Responsibilities include access control, monitoring, and emergency response at an educational government location.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors per site policies.
• Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identifications and credentials.
• Maintain visitor logs and issue/recover access credentials as assigned.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow procedures with site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
