Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Access Control Operations) in WEST ORANGE, NJ. You will manage entry points, verify access, and maintain a visible security presence at a commercial real estate site while delivering professional service to residents, visitors, and staff.

The role is part-time with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Eligibility includes a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors while following site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access, and log visitors.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and access-control issues.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property and report concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate policy violations.
