Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company in North America, is seeking a Part Time Credential Activation Security Officer in Totowa, NJ. You will manage visitor access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to security concerns at a financial institution location, while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers part-time hours with a set evening schedule and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal’s smart tools and training programs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entry points and the business perimeter, to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Support a professional lobby and access control environment while communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
