Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Entry Control Security Officer in Franklin Park, IL. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and adherence to site procedures while supporting Allied Universal’s people-first culture. This position offers a part-time schedule with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At least 18 (21 for armed roles) and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor passes, and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Enforce site access requirements, direct visitors, and document incidents and maintenance concerns.
