Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Richmond, VA. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. Your visible presence and communication help deter incidents while upholding security policies.

Flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform is available. A background check and drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by conducting access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, common areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear reports for incidents and policy violations and communicate with leadership.
