Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Control) in Chester, VA to safeguard employees and visitors at a utilities location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and maintain a welcoming security environment.

Responsibilities include operating access-control systems, documenting credentials, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred; flexible shifts and training opportunities

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card, license, or security-related license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
