Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Coordination in Milford, DE. You will provide customer service, enforce access-control procedures, and assist with incident response at a fixed site with reliable hours.

The role offers a six-month anchor shift commitment and the opportunity to increase earnings by picking up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a food and beverage production location; verify credentials, authorize access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain visitor and contractor logs.
• Screen incoming visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with established requirements, directing authorized individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
