Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Access Control Security Guard in Lakeland, FL. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and deliver exceptional customer service at a distribution facility while following site policies.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
