Job summary

Dominican University New York is seeking a Part-Time Professional Tutor to support students with reading, writing, and research skills.

The role is in-person for 25 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters in the Academic Success Center, with responsibilities including tutoring, designing study skills workshops, and assisting students in achieving their academic goals. A Master’s Degree is required; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in relevant discipline.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in relevant discipline; bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
• Design and deliver academic programming, e.g., study skills workshops, APA workshops.
• Support students in developing academic skills and achieving their goals.
• Understand and support the entirety of services available through the Academic Success Center.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
