Job summary

Dominican University New York is seeking a Part-Time Professional Tutor to support students in reading, writing, and research skills within the Academic Success Center.

The role is in-person, 25 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters, with responsibilities including one-on-one and small group tutoring, designing study skills and APA workshops, and guiding students toward academic goals. Master’s degree required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in relevant discipline required.
• Experience tutoring in higher education preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
• Design and deliver academic programming, e.g., study skills and APA workshops.
• Support students in developing academic skills and achieving their goals.
• Understand and support services of the Academic Success Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
