Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support children with autism through ABA-based interventions in a part-time role. The position requires 10–20 hours per week with a 6–7 month commitment, offering daytime and afternoon slots.

You will implement treatment plans under supervision and help develop communication, social, and life skills. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a passion for children, strong interpersonal skills, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine love for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Interest in ongoing development.
• Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance with name listed.
• Must have a Tablet or Laptop computer to use during sessions.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assist clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavioral analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.
