Job summary

Beachmont Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-time Behavior Technician to provide individualized ABA services to children and adults with autism and related needs in homes, centers, schools, and community settings.

You will implement skill-acquisition programs, support communication and social development, and collect data to track progress. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required; training and ongoing mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Availability Monday–Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with consistent attendance.
• Reliable transportation to assigned service locations in Thousand Oaks and Oxnard.
• Access to a compatible mobile device for scheduling, data collection, and documentation.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to complete required training and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized skill-acquisition programs and behavior support plans developed by a BCBA.
• Help clients practice meaningful skills through structured teaching, play, routines, and community activities.
• Support clients in developing communication, social, adaptive, self-help, and independence skills.
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, family members, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Collect accurate data using our electronic data collection system and complete session documentation.
• Collaborate with your BCBA and BAAs, participate in training, and implement clinical feedback.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns or significant events promptly.
• Maintain dependable attendance, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.
