The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking products according to grocery standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 18 years old.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in and complete required training, and teamwork to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English; ability to write simple correspondence; effective in small group and one-on-one communication.
Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions; handle problems involving a few concrete variables.
Complete company training, including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
Must regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.
Exposed to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level usually moderate.
