The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.
Responsibilities include processing, packaging, stocking products according to grocery standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 18 years of age.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in and complete required training, and teamwork to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and associates who speak only English.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Completion of company's training, including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
Must be able to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, taste, or smell regularly. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.
Frequently exposed to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts; occasionally to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.
