Job summary
Diocese of Joliet Catholic Elementary Schools seeks a 2026-2027 Non-Instructional Paraprofessional for 2nd grade at Bishop McNamara, Bradley, IL. The position is part-time with January 2027 start and ineligible for benefits.
Under supervision of licensed staff, you will assist with reading, math, religion, and computer instruction; work with students in small groups; support assessments and classroom activities; and use Seesaw/Google Classroom for At-Home Learning as needed.
Qualifications
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Substitute license is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Education preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed staff to reinforce reading, language arts, religion, mathematics, and computer instruction.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support classroom management, record-keeping and use of educational materials.
- Assist with At-Home Learning lessons via Seesaw or Google Classroom when needed.
- Supervise non-instructional areas and accompany students on field trips.
