Job summary

Diocese of Joliet Catholic Elementary Schools seeks a part-time Non-Instructional Paraprofessional to assist licensed staff at Bishop McNamara in Bradley, IL. Under supervision, you will reinforce core subjects and support instructional activities for 2nd grade students.

You will work with students individually and in small groups, assist with assessments and record-keeping, and help maintain a safe, focused classroom environment. Position available January 2027.

Qualifications

• Under supervision of licensed staff, assist with instructional goals for each child.
• Help reinforce reading, language arts, religion, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Support small group work and individual learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Model Catholic faith in words and actions in classroom and school settings.
• Adhere to tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Assist students to reinforce basic skills in reading, language arts, religion, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist licensed staff in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare classroom materials and reinforce instructional strategies for individual needs.
• Assist with record-keeping of student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
• Assist with non-instructional tasks as needed.
