The Dallastown Area School District seeks to fill a Part-Time, 10-Month Learning Support Paraprofessional position at York Township Elementary School. As a highly-qualified instructional paraprofessional, you'll play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting regular education teachers in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.

Your work schedule will follow student attendance full and half days with full-day hours being 9:00 AM -

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) with a locally developed assessment.
• OR an Associate's Degree or higher.
• OR at least 48 credit hours of postsecondary study.
• Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development related to assignment each school year.
• Ability to carry out oral and written communications and work cooperatively with others.
• Acceptable record of attendance.

Responsabilités

• Working one-on-one or with small groups of students as directed by the teacher.
• Aiding in supervision of students in the classroom and the cafeteria.
• Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises.

The Dallastown Area School District seeks to fill a Part-Time, 10-Month Learning Support Paraprofessional position at York Township Elementary School.As a highly-qualified instructional paraprofessional, you'll play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting regular education teachers in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.

Your work schedule will follow student attendance full and half days with full-day hours being 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (5.50 work hours and a half-hour unpaid lunch). Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor.While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of a locally developed assessment
  • OR, Associate's Degree or higher,
  • OR, at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)
• Completionofat least 20 hours of staff development activities related toassignment each school year
• Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
• Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others
• Acceptable record of attendance

Responsibilities

• Working one-on-one or with small groups of students as directed by the teacher
• Aiding in supervision of students in both the classroom and the cafeteria
• Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
• Performing routine clerical workWorking with instructional media, office machines, and equipment
• Immediate/continued inclusion in Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS),
• Six (6) Paid Holidays:Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Good Friday
• Aftera successful Probationary Period of 90 calendar days, you'll receive Paid Leave: 3 Personal Days and 10 Sick Days (pro-rated based on hire date)
• If applicable, Paid Bereavement Leave and Jury Duty Supplemental Pay
